The direct route is the correction form
If something on a guide page is wrong, out of date or should be removed, use the correction form. It is the path that reaches the editors, and it does not require an account.
The form asks for the page address, what should change, an optional supporting link and an optional email address for follow-up. When you send it, the site shows a reference code and saves the message for private review. Sending a correction does not change the public page by itself; an editor reads it first. Keep the reference code if you want to follow up later.
What to include
- The page address. A link or the full path is faster than a description of where you saw it.
- The specific detail, and what it should say instead. "The hours are wrong" is harder to act on than "the posted hours changed in July."
- A source. An organizer, operator or agency page carrying the corrected detail lets an editor confirm it in one step. The form accepts an https link.
- An email address only if you want a reply.
What to leave out
Do not send passwords, payment information, booking codes or other people's private details. Nothing on this site needs them, and a correction message is not the place for them.
This is not an emergency service, and it is not a live conditions desk. For weather, surf, tides and tropical advisories, go to the National Weather Service Brownsville/Rio Grande Valley office, which covers Cameron County including South Padre Island and publishes marine forecasts, tide predictions and rip-current risk. At the beach, follow the flags and the instructions given on site.
Questions about a business listing
Listing questions have their own path rather than this one. Island businesses and organizations should start at partners, which explains how a listing is claimed, corrected or removed and how an event reaches the site.
Questions about a contribution
Photos sent through share a photo and posts in island discussions wait for review before they appear publicly. The correction form only accepts the address of a public guide page, so it is not the route for a contribution of your own: use the contact page for a question about your account, a submission you sent, or information you want corrected or removed.
My Trip is your own plan, not a reservation. The site cannot book, change or cancel anything for you, and it cannot answer for a hotel, charter or restaurant. For prices, availability, hours and cancellation terms, deal with that business directly.
What an answer looks like
Requests are read and handled through the same private review queue, and a change appears on the page only after an editor makes it. If you asked for a reply and left an email address, that is the address an editor would use. Nothing is published automatically because you asked.
