The tournament is based at Jim's Pier, 211 W. Swordfish. The organizer publishes this schedule:
- Friday: registration 5:00–7:00 p.m., tournament challenge 5:00–7:30 p.m., and mandatory captain's meeting at 7:00 p.m.
- Saturday: lines in at 7:00 a.m., lines out at 5:00 p.m., weigh-in beginning at 5:00 p.m., and a 7:00 p.m. dock deadline.
- Sunday: awards begin at 11:00 a.m.; no end time is stated.
- Weather-delay dates: September 18–20, 2026.

TIFT has announced the 87th tournament date range. Follow TIFT future dates and return when the organizer posts registration, fishing, weigh-in, and awards hours for 2027.
Shallow Sport Owners Tournament · May 7–9, 2026
This one is a boat-owner gathering as much as a fishing competition, and the organizer's published weekend plan shows it:
- Thursday: a sponsor party listed as invite only.
- Friday: packet pickup from 5:00 p.m., a registration party, acknowledgement of scholarship award winners at 7:30 p.m., a captain's meeting, games, and live music.
- Saturday: boat check-in from 5:30–6:00 a.m. with a boat parade at Louie's Backyard, weigh-in from 1:00–3:00 p.m., an awards banquet at 7:00 p.m., and a boat raffle giveaway at about 9:30 p.m.
