Beach Circle Access #4 at a glance

Beach Circle Access #4 is a Town of South Padre Island walk-on entrance at Beach Circle and Gulf Boulevard, near East Sheepshead Street. The city’s Beach Access Guide lists accessible parking, a bike rack, bench, garbage can, portable restrooms, pavement, and a concrete route with Mobi-mat. It does not list a shower.

The city parking guide shows 17 general spaces and two accessible spaces in the access lot. It's a small lot, so keep another entrance in mind in case it's full. Portable restroom availability can also change.

Why choose Beach Circle?

The marked lot, portable restrooms and Mobi-mat make #4 worth a look if you're carrying beach gear or bringing a wagon. The concrete and mat help with part of the walk, but you should still expect sand beyond them—and sometimes sand blown across them.

Need a shower too? Nearby Gulf Circle Access #3 has permanent restrooms and showers listed in the city guide. Farther north, Moonlight Circle Access #13 has a shower but no listed restroom or Mobi-mat. You can see where they are on the beach access map.

Parking and beach rules

The city guide records No Overnight Parking and No Stopping/Standing/Parking signs at #4. Use only marked public spaces and follow the signs present at the lot rather than extending the row along a curb or blocking the access route. This is a city walkover: motor vehicles are not allowed on the city beach. The city’s Shoreline Department maintains the current beach-rule overview.

Before you head out

Look at beach conditions before leaving, especially if you want to swim. The beach safety guide links to reports on surf, rip currents, weather and water quality. At Beach Circle, follow the posted flags and any closure or maintenance signs. If the lot is full, use another marked public space or entrance rather than blocking the walkover.
