Coffee Dessert

Find a South Padre coffee or dessert stop for fresh-roasted beans, bakery drinks and pastries, ice cream and chocolate, or a sit-down dessert after dinner.

Where to get coffee on South Padre Island

Grapevine Cafe serves specialty coffee and tea and sells coffee beans roasted to order. It is a natural choice when the group wants a coffee stop that can turn into breakfast or lunch.

Sunrise Bakery pairs bakery goods with espresso drinks, including lattes, cortados, and mochas made with house syrups. Choose it when a pastry and a coffee sound better than a full restaurant table.

Where to go for ice cream and dessert

Island Candy combines scooped ice cream, chocolate-dipped treats, milkshakes, and coffee drinks. It is an easy dessert stop when the group wants to browse rather than settle into another full meal.

For dessert after dinner, Gabriella's current menu includes Italian sweets such as tiramisu, cannoli, and cheesecake. That is a different kind of stop from a bakery counter or an ice-cream cone.

If coffee needs to become breakfast, continue to breakfast and brunch. For dinner by the bay later on, see waterfront restaurants. Check the current menu directly if an ingredient or a particular dessert is essential to the outing.
