Late here is a posted time, not a reputation
A venue can feel like a late-night place and still lock the kitchen at nine. The only honest way to build this list is from the closing times each business publishes itself, so that is what is below, with the source and the date. Everything here was read on 2026-09-11 and is the time posted that day. Island hours shift with the season, with a slow week and with the weather, and at least one venue on this page posts no closing time at all. Check the venue's own page before you set out.
Venues that post a late closing time
Louie's Backyard, 2305 Laguna Boulevard, posts 11:30AM to 2AM and adds that hours are subject to change. Its site describes a bayside restaurant with a sports bar, and lists karaoke every Friday and Saturday in the sports bar. It is the latest posted time on this page. Longboard Bar & Grill, 205 W. Palm St., posts 11am to 12 a.m. Monday through Thursday, 11am to 2 a.m. Friday and Saturday, and 11am to 1 a.m. Sunday. Its site describes a 9,000-square-foot open-air waterfront venue with live bands every day of the week, and says it is family and pet friendly. It does not publish separate kitchen hours, so if you are coming for food rather than a drink, call first. Source: longboardspi.com, checked 2026-09-11 · directory listing
Pineapple Ninjaz, 2301 Laguna Blvd, posts 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM Tuesday through Thursday and Sunday, 11:00 AM to 12:00 AM Friday, 11:00 AM to 1:00 AM Saturday, and closed Monday. Its menu includes kids menu options, and its site states that ordering is by phone only and that it is not taking online orders right now. Plan for a call rather than an app. Source: pineappleninjaz.com, checked 2026-09-11 · directory listing
Daddy's Seafood & Cajun Kitchen, 1808 Padre Blvd, posts 11am to 10pm Sunday through Thursday and 11am to 11pm Friday and Saturday, and says it is open seven days a week for lunch and dinner with a full bar and an on-site seafood market. It closes on Thanksgiving and Christmas. This is the late option on the list that is a sit-down dinner first. Source: daddysrestaurant.com, checked 2026-09-11 · directory listing
Open late, but the closing time is not published
Two well-known island bars publish an address and a program but no closing hour. That is worth knowing rather than guessing at.
Clayton's Beach Bar & Grill, 6900 Padre Blvd, states that it opens daily at 11 AM and describes a newly built pier with direct beach access, seafood, and live music. No closing time appears on the site. Source: claytonsbeachbar.com, checked 2026-09-11 · directory listing
Laguna BOB, 2401 Laguna Blvd., describes a bayfront bar and restaurant with live music daily and sunset views over the bay. It publishes no hours. Source: lagunabob.com, checked 2026-09-11 · directory listing
For either one, phone ahead on the night rather than reading a closing time off a third-party listing.
Getting back afterwards
Padre Blvd is the single spine of the island, and a late crowd leaving at the same time makes it slow. Settle the return leg before the first drink. Island Metro covers the island's bus and its published schedule; check the last run against the closing times above. Island areas shows how far your lodging really is from Laguna Blvd or West Palm Street.
If the night is going to end earlier than this page assumes, bars and live music covers the venues themselves and family-friendly dining covers the earlier kitchens.
