A 30 mm frog that can be solid green or brown and shifts between shades, with a light stripe along the upper jaw that is usually yellow but can be white or orange; it breeds on warm rainy nights in temporary pools from April to August, laying 900 to 1,200 eggs that hatch within two days, and it is at home around buildings and lights . Its range is the southeastern coastal plain, reaching into Texas .
