A day at the island's south end
Isla Blanca Park is Cameron County’s south-island park at 33174 State Park Rd. 100 N., South Padre Island, TX 78597. The county lists the park office as 956-761-5493 or 956-761-5494. For beach facilities, current access, and a fuller picture of the visit, open the Isla Blanca Park visitor guide.
Pick the kind of south-end stop
Beach day: Isla Blanca is a Gulf-side beach choice. Pair the full park guide with beach conditions when you are sorting out the beach route, shade, parking, surf, and how long the group wants to be on sand.
Jetty or pass visit: Brazos Santiago Pass and the jetties are their own outing, not an extra piece of the beach. Anglers can start with Brazos Santiago jetties fishing; birders can use the Isla Blanca jetties birding guide. Footing, what you carry, water movement, and the pace of the stop are all different from a beach day.
A mixed south-island day: Pair one of those choices with a meal, an attraction, or a short wildlife visit instead of trying to squeeze beach, jetty, fishing, and boating into the same window. Browse things to do for a second activity.
Getting there and visiting the park
The south end can make a short island day feel much longer, especially with a reservation, parking question, jetty carry, or mobility need. Look at getting around, parking, and maps before adding another timed stop.
